Take me out to the ballgame...buy me some squid??

Baseball is the most popular spectator sport in South Korea. They currently have 8 professional teams. One of them being the LG TWINS. Their uniforms are fashioned after the Minnesota TWINS original outfits. However, as I mentioned, due to some subway mishaps, we missed getting tickets to the baseball game at Jamsil Stadium Sunday night. Although, Todd overheard one guy saying he had gotten there quite early to buy tickets and was also unsuccessful. It was a loooong subway ride there and Matty was still a little tired since we had to wake him up from his nap. So it was no surprise we were too late to get tickets - but it was still fun to see the stadium (and gift shop!!!). It was also fun to see ALL the people that hoard around the stadium to eat and listen to the game! They hover around people who have radios or just watch the scoreboard displayed outside. And the cheers from those inside when a team had a good play was deafening even from outside the stadium.

And the food - vendors line the outside of the stadium selling KFC chicken in ready made bags. Burger Kings also has several tables set up. And, then, there are the locals selling fresh sushi, squid and, I think, octopus among other Korean delicacies. Some, even cooked food right there on portable cookers. It was quite the cutural experience.
