Divine Intervention

It has been a cool day today, rainy the first part, and cool the rest. So, we decided to postpone the baseball game and instead went to Myeongdong Catholic Cathedral. It was beautiful! It sits atop a high hill surrounded with flowers. At the bottom of the steps, a little old lady has a table of rosaries and various knick knacks - beware - she will try to sell to you and even offer a "deal" - instead go to the Cathedral gift shop - much better prices! Behind the Cathedral, is an area to pray and light candles. We purchase 1 pink candle and lit it for Olivia. Then we went to the gift shop. So many beautiful items!! I even bought a white embroidered veil for Lucy and Olivia's First Communion!!!

On the way to find a taxi - we walked along the streets filled with shops and vendors. Suddenly as we rounded a corner - lo and behold LOTTE! A ginormous department store that rivals Harrods!! It boasts 3 separate buildings with one reaching 12 floors! We stopped in "just for a peek!" Not the most kid-friendly though as it has mostly designer departments and highly specialized merchandise. Maybe in a few years....
