Lotte World - the World's largest indoor theme park! Lots of rides and amazing attractions! And, from the subway, leading up to the theme park - SO MANY SHOPS! The kids were somewhat oblivous to the shops, but when we rode up the escalator and some of the park came into view, the kids' eyes grew enormous! As you enter the park, you see hot air balloons "floating" high up above you and themed structures all around you! We took a ride first on the carousel, but it's not just a carousel ride, oh no, staff come aboard as you are riding, and tickle the kids with puppets! We then spent time on various rides at the Adverture Park before heading to Magic Island (think Magic Kingdom). This time leading to the park entrance you are greeted with the site of an enormous castle, and as you get closer, staff blow bubbles as you cross the threshold! More rides and some lunch... then as Matthew was starting to get sleepy (it was his nap-time) he and I took off for some shopping while Todd and the kids stayed for more fun & rides.
Of course, there were many themed shops, and charm shops - charms are very big here - I think they use a lot for cell phones and bags. You see charms stands EVERYWHERE! There were lots of toy stands! And, of course, Lotte Department Store.
Also, on the subway ride to Lotte World, a group of young girls boarded and immediately started fawning over Matthew - touching his cheek and saying in fairly good English "so cute!" Matthew took this opportunity to suddenly become shy, turning his head away and sticking out his lip. Which of course caused the girls to squeal more!
