It has been a couple of days now since ciming home. The first day after getting home, we were all pretty exhausted! Lots of adjusting with a new baby, time change, and the suddenly frigid Minnesota weather! Olivia has been doing great - at least for someone who has been separated from her family she had known all her life and is now finding herself in a foreign country with people she does not know nor understand, and a couple of overly attentive siblings!!
She has not eaten very well, but does take her bottle wonderfully. She prefers to be held - and quite often prefers Daddy (oppa was her first word "daddy"). She sleeps really well at night - and in her crib just fine! Even takes naps in her crib.
Her foster mother said she does not like going outside much. We took her outside last night since it was great weather. She didn't seem to mind much - though she held on fast to Daddy the entire time.
Here are a few general observations so far:
She has given us lots of big smiles - sometimes she will just look at us for a few seconds, then give us a big grin!
She does walk a bit on her own.
She is ambivalent towards Harry the cat.
She does babble a bit.
She likes holding toys and playing with them for a bit. One of her favorites seems to be an Elmo talking telephone.
Grandma Packard has been to visit and she let her hold her on her lap and even fell asleep.
Auntie Mary came to visit, but she was very shy with her.
Auntie Sue came to visit, she let her hold her (Auntie Sue is also Korean) and also fell asleep on her lap.
She looks gorgeous in pink!

Yes pink is her color. Three cheers for sleeping in her crib.
