Guess who's a pro with chopsticks...

On Thursdays, families are invited to eat lunch with the staff at Eastern. We had a meeting with Mrs. Kim, who runs the agency, at 11:00. We met her along with 2 other families. She talked a little about Korean adoptions and the agency beginnings. She also showed a short video on Eastern and the many services they provide. The kids were really good - Matthew had fallen asleep in the taxi on the way there and Jacob and Lucy listened attentively the entire time.

Since lunch was not until noon, we ended up sitting in the business office - the kids were entertained by the aquarium of fish. At noon we went to the 5th floor - where there were several tables set up, and buffet tables in the front. The kids ate very well - even Todd! Jacob ate sushi, fish, teriyaki chicken, bulgogi fruit and cake. Lucy had fish, bulgogi, rice and cake - she went back up 3 times for more fish! Matty ate rice, lots and lots of rice. And cake! We sat at a table with a family from Australia. They had returned to Eastern on Holiday to have their 2 boys visit their foster mothers. They were adopted 8 and 10 years ago through Eastern.

Before we left, Mrs. Kim gave us all gifts - in the most beautiful wrapping paper! The kids each received clips with Korean figures on them. Todd & my gift was a bag with the Eastern logo on it.

Now, it's rest time and then hopefully a baseball game...!
